Asachimici-pulyCAFF® will be attending Sigep 2026 proudly celebrating its 65 years of activity. It was the first company ever to formulate a detergent specifically designed for cleaning espresso machines. At Hall A1, Stand 055, in front of the Coffee Arena, this important anniversary is highlighted in a simple yet effective way by a gold logo.
“Alongside the dates, we wanted to summarise the new concept introduced back in 1961, which we have consistently and extensively promoted in Italy and around the world: maintenance is the secret to a successful coffee,” state Gianfranco and Marco Carubelli, Administrative Directors of pulyCAFF®. “From the very beginning, we have been committed to developing formulations that are increasingly effective while being respectful of equipment, operators and the environment. In addition, for 25 years we have been offering free training to baristas, coffee roasters and hospitality school students through the Puly Day programme: free 4-hour training sessions consisting of a theoretical part and extensive hands-on practice, which we deliver wherever requested, in Italy and abroad. We are proud of what we have achieved so far and intend to continue along this path: proper maintenance and hygienic safety provide the added value sought in kitchens all over the world.”
The determination and professionalism of Asachimici-pulyCAFF® have been rewarded by a steadily growing international consensus, with baristas worldwide asking specifically for pulyCAFF®, appreciated for its effectiveness and for its respect for machines, operators and the environment. For this reason, the walls of the stand will feature elements highlighting this commitment: almost all packaging made from 100% recycled plastic; ISO certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 45001 and ISO 22000); water savings achieved through state-of-the-art manufacturing processes; renewable energy through the use of solar panels; and a product line made with ingredients of natural origin. Visiting the stand is also an opportunity to meet the Brand Ambassadors and “Cleaning Experts” Andrea Antonelli, Luca Ventriglia and Davide Mazzetto, and to engage with them in in-depth discussions on correct maintenance practices, as well as on coffee and café management.

The World Record

Created in 1961, pulyCAFF® was the first “applied concept” for the maintenance of espresso machines, developed to ensure the correct operation of the machine that marked a decisive turning point in the history of espresso machines: the Faema E61, in which the lever force was replaced by a volumetric pump. However, it was essential to keep the exhaust system perfectly clean, as any blockage could cause the machine to stop operating. Research proved complex, as it was necessary to identify a compound capable of dissolving carbonised residues at 92°C—the operating temperature of the espresso machine—whereas the liquefaction point of such residues is around 120°C. Intensive laboratory work led to the creation of pulyCAFF®, which within a few years conquered markets across all five continents, becoming the undisputed leader, together with other Asachimici-pulyCAFF® products, in cleaning solutions for espresso machines and coffee grinders.

Starting with pulyMILK®, designed to remove milk residues from steam wands and automatic milk frothers. Close attention to market demands and environmental responsibility gave rise to the “New” line, made with even more refined and renewable ingredients. This line includes pulyGRIND Crystals®, whose food-grade, gluten-free starch-based crystals, carefully calibrated, free burrs and grinding chambers from old and rancid coffee residues; pulyGRIND Hopper®, a cleaner for the hopper and doser; pulyBAR Igienic®, suitable for cleaning stainless steel surfaces, worktops, coffee machine bodies and display cases; pulyCAFF® New, pulyCAFF Plus®, and pulyMILK® New.
Professionals, coffee enthusiasts and anyone curious about coffee are invited to visit the pulyCAFF stand at Hall A1, Stand 055 to discover the products and the secrets of proper maintenance: the only way to offer customers—or to enjoy at home—the pure, clean taste of coffee.
